If you have ever wanted to have a go at painting - maybe you have tried some methods and been unsuccessful - then this method is for you.

I had always struggled to paint and had attended many night school classes but without success, so I actually gave up.

One day I found the wet-into-wet oil painting technique and was completely blown away, I decided to have a go and it did work.

The method itself is about applying paint to the canvas in such a way that it tricks to eye into believing that hours have been spent on detail.

DEMONSTRATIONS

When I do a demonstration for a club or group, the painting is completed in under an hour and the viewers cannot believe what they have just witnessed - the room is totally silent while I paint, as everyone is fascinated.

Working with Oil Paint

Oil paint is a very simplistic medium to work with; it does just what you want it to do and has the advantage of being able to be corrected.

In the UK, water based media has been more popular but go outside the UK and oil is widely used.  With the modern methods, used today, oil is the medium to go for, for effective results.

It is a great medium to learn with for anyone who has ever wanted to paint.   Whether you’ve tried other methods or never held a brush before it will give you results that you never thought possible.
